Default Incoming e-mail indicator light

The pulsing power light changes from green to red when an incoming message has been received. I have been unable to find a setting/adjustment that will keep it flashing "red" until the message has been opened. It returns to the normal "green" after about twenty minutes. Is it possible to adjust this feature? BTW, the stock leather case from Cingular, while not perfect, is a tremendous improvement over the OEM holster.

No not possible to adjust this feature. You can try looking for 3rd party apps, but doubtful you'll find much worth the investment.

What stock leather case? I have yet to see one in any of the Houston area Cingular stores, one for the 7290 though....

The Cingular company store in Birmingham, AL had them in stock last week. Not that fantastic "rich, Corinthian leather," but very functional and much better than the plastic holster.

If you turn off the network indicator (not sure of the exact description) LED then the red message LED should stay lit until you check your msgs.

I think it will still blink RED until the message/task/calendar reminder is read. I never saw a steady RED led.

You are correct, it will continue to BLINK red not stay lit, until the notification is acknowledged. Sorry I wasn't thinking clearly when I typed my reply this morning.

This is what Cingular is offering as their 8700c pouch. I bought this from a Cingular store. Photos from blackberryden.com
