Default BOLD 9000 Serious Help Needed

Please Login to Remove!

Alright so I've had my bold for a couple of days, I bought it used of a guy and it worked perfectly fine until this morning. WHen I'm typing a bbm or text message, random letters are being added to the words and sometimes it will take me right back to the start of the message and start typing. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

Did you drop it or did you get it wet? Your post is indicative of water damage.

Sure sounds like a physical glitch to me. YOu can try re-loading the software via Desktop Manager, but a good internal cleaning might be in order.

Battery pull might also be in order.

I've downgraded the software, then re installed the software, battery pull bunch of times with the phone on, still nothing. It hasn't added any random letters yet after re installing the current software, but everytime i press on the backsapce button beside the power button, it will cycle through my loaded favorites on the homescreen which is really weird.

Even thought you think it has not been dropped or wet, it looks like it may have been one or the other. You can check the water indicator to see if it's red but that can be bleached to show white. Also the keys if they have ever been wet will cause wierd issues such as the ones you have. If it continues you might try returning it and get your money back.

Depending on how much you want to do in the repair side, the keyboards are available and fairly easy to replace.

It's so weird, it just adds random symbols when typing a message. It was fine when I got it but started doing it yesterday. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me.
