Default cant receive or send emails

Good morning,

i am new to this forum. But cant see an answer anywhere.

I cant receive emails on my bb curve and havent done since Thursday tea time. Emails were able to be sent, but not so sure that is working now as i sent one to myself and it never arrived.

I think i have downloaded the new bb software and think it may have something to do with it. As i done this Thursday sometime.

Im using orange as my phone provider.

Have you tried to do a battery pull while powered? it will reload the OS clean

Reregister on the host routing table and resend your service books.

Thanks have tried the battery reset and no joy.

How do i re register on the host routing table?

Have sent an service book and when i looked in it, there are all ticks. if that makes sense.

Its a curve.
Not sure of the model!

Now is this device on the BES? Which model of curve do you have?

On blackberry device go to
option>security option>information
if you see there entry desktop on bottom of the page you are probably on bes

when you try to send email see if you get RED X
if you do
can you please post error
just open email which you tried to send and look for status

When i go into security options and then information, i see no services.
when i send an email, all looks like it has gone as i get the tick. however it doesnt arrive

Ok , so you do have a blackberry data plan or you would not have been able to download the service books. So then you were able to reload the service books and host routing table but still do not have confirmation of sent and received emails so I would call the carrier to make sure you are provisioned on their network. Forget the BES stuff , that’s a corporation method used by company blackberry’s. It sounds like you have a personal BB and that’s on what is called BIS.

Maybe try logging into the Orange BIS page and re-entering your PIN and IMEI, as if you're registering a new BlackBerry.
