Sync with my Desktop. Both device and desktop show 1701 appointments. The world is swell.

Next day I hook up the device with my work desktop and start the sync process. Work desktop shows 1700+ appointments.... device only about 160.

World now looks confusing.

This has happened twice to me. I have in calendar options, the "keep appointments" set to "forever".

Am I missing a setting? Verizon Storm 9530

Are you using only one email acct?
Make sure you are using the default calendar.
I hope you had a backup that you can restore to the device if needed.

Yes, only one email account. Default calendar although it was my email account calendar now it shows default.

BB support, (Verizon gave up), had me reinstall the OS (still using the current Verizon OS). So we'll see if it drops appointments again. So far it's dropped them three times. Drops all but about 180, (had 1709). If this doesn't work, they'll send me a new device. Will be my third in two weeks. This is usually the magic number for me, then I have fairly good service for months.

I must be a magnet for defective phones.

Two days and have not lost appointments since reloading the OS.

Not jumping to a conclusion but it looks like that might have been the problem, a corrupted OS.
