Default BB getting Gmail that's supposed to skip the inbox

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all -
First time BB user as of today. Yay!

8830 (Verizon) BIS is getting my Gmail. Great. Except that I am on several high volume list serves. Within Gmail, I've set filters for each of these high volume lists that are set to archive / "skip the inbox" and go into Label (which is like a folder.) So, in Gmail, I never see them unless I click on the label.

However, the black berry is getting all the list traffic, even though it's supposed to skip the inbox.

I've done some searching and haven't found any solutions, but it seems like one is needed. About the only "work around" I can think of is to unsubscribe from the lists.

You can put filters in blackberry to not receive emails sent from email addresses of these list servers.

i have set up filters in gmail for those things i don't want to send to BB.

The filter looks like this

if (-xx@listsvr.com AND [email address]) forward to bb

basically, with the minus sign with the AND, you're setting up a gmail filter for stuff that SHOULDN'T got to bb

Gmail doesn't have an inbox. That's why you receive sent items as new mail if you send via gmail without a filter in place.

Takeshi

Not sure what Gmail you're using, but on my PC there certainly is a gmail INBOX, as there is on Gmail Mobile. And the PC filters I described definitely work, because they are currently screening about 25 addresses from people that are not spam, but don't need to go to the BB.
