I have read the whole thread and using the 8703e and sent the link through email but when loading it into my browser, it gives me a "HTTP Error 406: Not Acceptable." What is the process I need to take to fix this so I can download the themes? Thanks.

I tried a different approach and loaded the .JAD file to my host and then tried to DL it. I was able to see the page but it showed me the code instead of allowing me to download the file

I figured it out.
Ive gone to the darkside of Zen... not sure how I feel yet. Although the picture of Carmen Electra is VERY nice to look at after closing a deal in an email
*edit* Junior, I def see why you put Verizon on notice for this

Just be careful, you will probably abandon the zen once or twice but you'll be back, any and all fututre bb experiences will never seem the same without ZEN....

i have never seen the zen theme, but it appears to be all the rage. i get my 8703 next week so i am eager to give it a whirl.

Can someone shed some light on this for me. I have the 8703 now. I have had the 8700c and successfully did the whole upgrade OS thing to Bharti and Telestra with that device, mainly for Zen. With the 8703 I just used the over the air download to get Zen on my 8703 and it was so easy. My question is this, what is the advantage in going throught the whole modifying the .alx thing for the differrent themes when you can just download them over the air?

Possibly, I'm not sure. Zen is not included with the 8703e and needs to be downloaded OTA. The official ALX update can be found below:

1 - Some people install the software anyhow, so why not modify the ALX to unlock everything that is included? I provide the ALX file for almost any new update for any new handheld, so it's quite simple.
2 - I've been hosting the OTA links for themes for quite some time now, so it's an easy convenience for some people. One day, I could die, though. Then what? Might as well educate people now.

If you downloaded anything but Zen over the air, then they will likely be updated with this installation (I haven't really compared/contrasted things). Zen could be left alone.
...although the old saying says 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'... could apply in your situation.
