Hi All, apologies if this is a dumb question, but on my display screen the top and bottom strips are "grey" where the icons etc are, about 8mm high top and bottom if that makes sense.

Is there a simple way to turn this off, I still want the time, date status etc and icons just with no darker back ground.

Could it be that your wallpaper just isn't fully filling out the screen?

The translucent grey areas are part of the theme and are there so that the text and icons are readable even if you use a very light background picture. The only way to get rid of the would be to use a theme that didn't need or provide them.

i use a black background. you dont see the strips, and it looks clean and sharp
