Angry Is this data usage even possible??

Please Login to Remove!

I am at war with Vodafone and have been for over a year now. I have a BB Torch and before that had an 8900. I travel loads for work and have always taken them with me and because I need access to emails etc I leave the roaming on.

With my 8900 I took it China about 6 times and received emails and checked the occasional sports scores etc. I never use it to view or download anything because outside of wifi it is just too slow.

As you can see on this thread in Vodafone forum I went to China in Feb 2011, turned the phone on when I landed and it didn't work. No email, no browser nothing. When I got to our office I connected to the Wi-fi and all the emails came pouring in. 2 days later I got a call saying I had used 342MB od data in 2 days. My average MONTHLY usage is 21MB.

Is 343MB even possible in China ??? I don't think I could do it if someone paid me!! Youtube is banned so you can't even download video.

Have a look at the vodafone thread.. (seems I can't post a link yet).

The thread is on Vodafone Pay Monthly Forum headed Vodafone are Stealing From Me. My bill is on there too ... !!!

Any help much appreciated.

I doubt Vodafone is stealing from you so something else happened. Some carriers have roaming agreements with local carriers and they receive the billing info. You need to get a detail from the carrier and try to see where the data was used. Email if they contain attachments could very easily have that kind of data. You should check and attempt to add up the email data size to see how close it is.

My emails on those 2 days came to around 1.3MB. I had copies on my webmail.

Then I would go back to the carrier for a detailed explaination of the bill.
If you get stonewalled go up the chain.
