so it is missing the pre-loaded images :( I loved the original red/maroon background. Anyone know how I can load that back?

one thing I noticed is the call quality has degraded with the upgrade to .97, is anyone else experiencing this?

And if not, how do I 'Nuke' the BB and completely reload the OS? I usually just let the DM do the upgrades for me.

Want to 'nuke' it and reload? Here you go, courtesy of BBf's faq:

Same question - I thought if it's a CDMA it will work on 8x30, but want to make sure before I install....

No, 8830 wasn't released.
Make sure you get the right one.

Having the same problem myself. Going to stick it out a bit longer, but I might have to go back to .77.

When I'm using my bluetooth headset and answer a call, I now get a speakerphone blast before I hear the caller in my headset - in addition to the speakerphone blast I have experienced on all previous OS versions.

I can't change the homepage in the browser.

Overall though, this is the fastest feeling version I have used - haven't tried GPS because I have given up on it with this phone.

Have upgraded to .97 on VZW 8330 and experienced no speakerphone blast unlike some others do. Maybe their blackberry is defected?

When I go to the Verizon site to download, all I see available is this:

BlackBerry Device Software v4.3 (updated 10/31/2008)

Where's 4.5?
