my XM came to life.....

looks like you get only about 15 channels; no sports, comedy or traffic/weather; and changing channels takes 20-30 seconds.

oh..and i was unable to get through one entire song without a break of at least 10 seconds....

$8.99 ?? pause.....NOT

There is also a monthly fee from the carrier for "hosting" the service to you on top of the $8.99. So look for that on you next bill, something like an extar $5.99 I was told...

Firstly

The att song Id is 99 cents a song.

Secondly

I've always had the xm radio on my bb. Since june of this year

Thirdly

Its my MobiTV so any non ATT users google mobiletv and look for their xm radio. I think it works for non-att

Finally,
U really never havta pay for it. When the trial is over. Uninstall then re-download it. And it works fine. I've had it free for 6 months now lol!

Yeah, when I saw the monthly fee I opted not to even activate it.

I have a Blackberry 8820 and have no clue what it is... My plan is with this option is $39.99 all the other BBerry's don't have it and are $37.99... I see that XM Radio is $8.99, but can't believe they added it for only $2.00...

Also when I got Streaming Radio icon on my 8820 it asks me to accept a three day trial then it will Auto renew for $8.99 per month... If I have this and do the three day trial will the $8.99 apply or will the plan override it?

I found this...

Service Plans for BlackBerry Wireless Devices on the Cingular Mobitex and AT&T T-Mobile GPRS Networks- Karbon Managed Wireless there was a

Unlimited* XM with BlackBerry
Mobitex BlackBerry
$59.99
N/A

So I am thinking I get it with my BBerry plan for $39.99......

There is also a music ID service called MusicID:

Ever want to know what song you're hearing?
Now you can with MusicID from AT&T. From hip hop to country, rock, classical, show tunes and more, MusicID can identify thousands of recorded songs.

When you hear a song, just dial #43.
Hold your AT&T phone up to the speaker for about 15 seconds, then end the call.
You'll soon receive a text message telling you the name of the song.

Neat but don't know how often I would use it:

MusicID | AT&T wireless services
The #43 feature works great, but be advised, it cost 99 cents each time you use it.A better option would be to subscribe to the music id icon from the applications menu... its just $3.99 a month unlimited and works great.

Now that Sirius and XM have merged, I'd think that if you wanted to you could use this service and get media from both, but that may still be forthcoming.

Rumor is that ATT will have a new satellite radio package installer sometime soon so that users with either account can access it, but they'd still charge you if you do it "their" way.

Do it for free this way: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...n-you-get.html
