I'm not one to usually do these, but...

I'm in DC on VZW with a Storm. I can send messages, but haven't received one in several hours on either gmail account I have set up. Data is working, and I can see my gmail acct in the browser. I have left several messages unopened, waiting for the gates to reopen.

Anyone else?

Also having issues with Gmail today on an AT&T iPhone. Seems to be repeating windows of outage, and then she catches up, followed by another blackout period. I surmise this is not a VZW or RIM issue, but rather a Gmail problem.

I'm having issues too. I'm on Verizon and haven't gotten email since about 11 EST. I tried to resend my service books, but the verizon BIS keeps telling me that my login is incorrect.

Default T-Mobile having major outage today 2-2-09

Just spoke with a rep and said as he was walking to his desk he heard his coworkers speaking of a "global outage". He confirmed that was the issue I was experiencing and the engineers are working on it with no ETA as of yet.

It is not global.

Unless Alabama has now left the planet, which I am willing to concede could be a probability.

All is fine here. It is a limited outage.

Default Blackberry Blackout

Detroit Michigan-I have a 8350i with Nextel and they confirmed there is a nationwide outage. My phone doesn't reconize my login either. Nextel said they(RIM) are working on it. I am not using any GMail accounts, all 4 of mine are business accounts through Yahoo Biz.

I talked to a RIM rep around 4:30, my GF can't send or recieve any emails, but the rest of her data works. The RIM rep said it was, "an infastructure issue on [our] end, and we are working on it to get things running correctly asap." No solid ETA was given for the fix, but he said he will send her an email to an account tied to her BB as soon as they get the issue resolved. He didn't really say it was any kind of outage. I don't have any issues on my Bold... We're both on ATT, and BIS. very erratic issue. It also woudln't let her sign into her BIS page on att.blackberry.com, it keeps giving her error message when trying to sign in. ATT transferred me to RIM when I called about the issue, and RIM wasn't able to find her BIS info, but her PIN and IMEI was also showing as taken...

Exclamation Major AT&T Outage

I just confirmed with AT&T, there are areas all over the country that are being affected. The CSR told me that the following areas will have little to no service: Texas, Maryland, DC, Virginia, W Virginia and New York.

She said that this only affects BB data, and that other services along with occasional BB data are working.

No ETA as of 5PM.

I'm in DC, with a BB Bold, and I cannot get email or log into BIS.

It's a global outage - and is not specific to a carrier.

I think one of their servers is down.

I can PIN, get email to @tmo.blackberry.net

I posted my problem here - but the mods INCORRECTLY merged it with the AT&T outage.

Guess the rep got it wrong. I just quoted him. Or possibly he meant spots across the globe by his statement, I don't know.

It is all one outage, the Texas line cut was a small portion of this, and basically independent of the greater outage.

Nevertheless, for a user looking for information, keeping it all in one thread is nice and tidy.
