Default Scheduled RIM outage tonight (2008-03-28)

Please Login to Remove!

Hello Fellow Addicts!

Just a heads up that there will be a 4-5 hour outage of all RIM servers tonight starting at 11pm PST for upgrades to the BIS servers. So don't be expecting your emails, PIN messages and any other RIM server functions except calls and text messages to be working!

So don't panic tonight, and slam you BB to the ground cursing RIM as they are going to be upgrading. Just deal with it and go to sleep and in the morning all will be good!

Have a good day!

I'm actually turning off my BB and turning off the cable modem for the weekend. If I don't get some downtime, I'm going to meltdown so this outage comes in handy for me. The other mods on the outage list are going to need to handle things.

Our BES admin people scheduled our internal server maintenance for the same time, so they must have already known about this planned outage...

I am sure they are quite capable, sit back, grab a couple beers (for 4 hours you might need to make a beer run or two first) and relax
