Default Restrict internet access?

Please Login to Remove!

I purchchased a new torch (9800) and gave my bold (9700) to my 14 year old son. Problem is now he lives on the internet. Any way I can restrict it? I use at&t smart limits, but he gets around it by using the blackberry browser. Any advice?

Take it from his hands when he disobeys your restrictions.

Kids today are very smart in bypassing the rules. If he uses WIFI you can change the security codes and that will stop him from using it.

Access to the Web can be blocked on a specific phone by the carrier. I would call them. Then sit back and watch the panic set in if they have the feature.

+1.. All the carriers in Canada have plans that block the web.

Call ATT and see if they have a similar option.

I work for T-Mobile USA and we have a feature called Web Guard that blocks all content that has age restrictions. Works great and parents love it! Im sure ATT has something similar. Ours is free and I hope ATT is too but who knows with those guys.

Not sure what "pull" means, but be aware that if browser service books are deleted they will be pushed to the handset again, possibly on the next hard reset......If there's something to be done to prevent that at the user level, I'm curious.
