Default BB browser

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I have a problem with the BB browser - it onyl works with the wifi.
I do have a data plan and I use Opera internet as usual - it's ONLY the be BB browser that always asks for wifi connection, otherwise it won't run.

The problem is, for example when I try to upgrade my facebook app, it automatically, without my decision, starts BB browser and then tell sme I need wifi connection (even tho I have 3g and a data plan) so I cant upgrade.....

I did start a thread about this, but it was closed and my prob is not rly solved yet.

Thanks

Open the BB browser, click you Menu key and select options. Click General Properties. Under the Default Browser drop down menu, make sure Internet Browser is selected.

Humm....
In UK, if you have 3g you have no connection to internet. It must be 3G, at least on T-Mob. When I have 3g i either turn off anf back on the network. If still doesnt get to 3G I go to Mobile Network options and turn the settings to 2G only so im able to get GPRS signal which isnt as fast as 3G but better than nothing. I spoke to T-Mob about this once and they said to me it happens when they are carring some work on the network and isnt something regular. It only had happened about 3 or 4 times.

Sorry, don't have much experience with OS 6 yet. I would recommend snooping around the settings until you find a similar option as stated above.

After the reset the internet conection on the browser through BIS stopped working as expected so I went back to the service books and for my surprise there was no "Blackberry internet browsing service 2" but 2 "Blackberry internet browsing service". :O
Not sure what to do I decided to delete one and see what would happen, as I did the browser still wouldnt connect through BIS so I decided deleting the other one left and get new Service Books to replace both. After I got the new service books I decided trying conecting browser through BIS again and guess what... Worked just perfect. Now I check on my service books and I have both "Blackberry internet browsing service" and "Blackberry internet browsing service 2" and its all working good even after many hard resets all works fine.

I hope it helps those with same or similar situation.

Thanks Cybertron for the help

where to find the Change the Support HTTP Authentication setting on your BES's MDS-CS instance in blackberry.

I am trying to access my job's website, and it won't even allow me to type in my login info/credentials
