well 1st to start i have java 5 installed, and the developer bb package, but when i try to export a theme i get this error.

"Warning: The following resources could not be included in the theme for reasons explained below:
Homescreen Background
Phone Incoming Call Background

Warning: Homescreen Background: Resource is bigger than 60 kb.
Warning: Phone Incoming Call Background: Resource is bigger than 60 kb."


i do not understand this, my files are about 20-30kb. and is happening with ever image i use.

can someone please help me.

did you try to edit the backround to 320x240 pixels or whatever is the preset dimensions?

no i didnt, i just would load a picture and it would show up on the template i didnt know i had to chanage the diemnsions. i will try that and get back to you.

Mike,

According to the documentation, this is caused when theme builder resizes artwork to fit. It has something to do with the anti-aliasing process.

BTW, I too hate endless threads with multple sub-topics interspersed within. Espically when reading with my BB.

The images are changed to png files when they are exported. If you are using a 20-30k jpg file, that's going to turn into probably about an 80-120k png file. Try saving it as a native png to check on the file size.
