Default Problems With Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I bought the Blackberry Pearl about a month ago.

Well 4 Weeks with no Problems.

Now i have quite a few.

Mabe they are easy fixes???

1) Missed Calls arent Being Recorded in my Phone Log

2) For some Reason i cant recieve text? i can send it out, but when people send it back to me i never get the message anymore.

3) Its going alot slower, the loading times are taking longer.

Could it be because i have too much memory stored? is that a possiblity? i do have quite a few ringtones.

As far as memory goes, I would buy a 1 or 2 gig micro card.
Also, I know this sounds stupid, but make sure your date on the phone is right. When I got my pearl, it said July 07. So everytime I got a missed call or text message, the phone would automatically erase it. Apparently I had the phone set to erase all messages after a certain date. After I changed the date back to normal, all my messages came through...

Just a thought.

And when i send Text it logs.
Just when i recieve....FKIN Weird. I checked the options and i have it set to all calls(incomming and outgoing)

For the txt issue, I strongly recommend you call customer service and have them patch that over. My sister and I had that same problem when we upgraded our cell phones, and it wasn't just a blackberry issue. But after calling, all works great now and we can mms each other stupid cat pictures just fine.

Adorableone,
You take stupid pictures of cats too. I thought I was the only one...lol

P.S. Seriously though, take the phone back to your carrier and explain. Would hate to pay for something I cant use. If all else fails, reinstall the OS, or try another OS.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Search for memory leak and see if the tips help you fix it.

Do you like stuffonmycat.com? that was the first site I bookedmarked on my opera browser (for some reason I can't access SOMC on the BB browser) .

When using. 73 , the DM would always delete the API library, and there was not an option to uncheck it . It happend regardless of re-installing .73 and upgrading to DM sp1. I'm glad I'm not with verizon anymore, so I'm hoping the exchange process won't be too brutal. I'm just worried about getting a refurb

This might be repetitive, so consider it a summary!
  1. From the Phone screen (click the Green Call button), click the Menu button (to the left of the trackball) and select Options --> Call Logging and select All Calls.

  2. As noted above, this is a matter of getting the service turned on through your carrier.

  3. Back off your email retention. From Messages, click the Menu button and select Options --> General Options, and set Keep Messages to 30 or 60 days.
