Default Do I have to pay for using GoogleTalk

Please Login to Remove!

I guess the title says it all, i'm currently on a 8700c (Cingular) and just dloaded GoogleTalk from the Blackberry browser. Question: do I have to pay anything extra for using GoogleTalk?

On a side note, how durable is the trackwheel? I'm a new BB user and call me a worry wart, but can the trackwheel last for 2 yrs if I keep using it?

Thanks guys!

it uses standard data...you must have a BB plan to use it. If you have an UNLIMITED data plan, then no worries, use it as often as you'd like

Yes, you need to pay for using GoogleTalk.

................

The cost is for Blackberry data plan.

I am not sure if the trackwheel will/can last for 2 yrs. However, I know I won't be using the same blackberry for 2 yrs.

By the way, you can purchase an insurance for your device and if it breaks, you can file a claim.

Google maps use data plan. if you have an unlimited data plan, you are all set, you do not need to pay any fee other than your data plan

I downloaded google talk, and called to ask cingular if I would get charged and she said yes, because it counts it as a SMS text message instead if using the data plan.....10 cents per use.

I have unlimited data plan, 8700c

Ive read that Ramble IM uses the data plan and you are not charged for sending messages.....Is this correct???? Has anyone seen charges on their bill....???

I'm don't thin you get charged for the data plan. I have unlimited text messaging with my T-Mobile plan, but when I didn't i wasn't charged for Google maps or Ramble.

ramble, yak-on, verichat, im+, berry411, google maps, google talk, ALL are free for use (aside from any fee to buy any of those programs from the third party developer) if you have the unlimited data plan..

only time it a program NOT free aside from purchase fees is if it uses text messages..
