Nice theme! Not only does it look great, but it's pretty easy to read with my middle-aged eyes.

One question - Where does the weather line come from? Is that a T-Mobile thing or is it a setting I can't find...

I like the theme, but would like to change the background for the application and lock screens. Is there any way to make it so a wallpaper change will do that, or do you have to do it in theme builder?

Thanks,
zip

I think this is a bug in the new theme builder that the homescreen wallpaper isn't applied to the icon menu screen. I've tried giving the icon menu a transparent wallpaper, but all that does is create a white background. I'll keep looking for a resolution to it, but I'm thinking it will take a bug fix release from RIM / Plazmic to resolve it.

That being said, I've done some tweaking to the theme for my own tastes and to try out some other things you can do in theme builder. If any of you would like to try it out, I may release it as a separate theme.

I've added an animated lock screen (Wallpaper scrolls from bottom to top, repeats infinitely) and changed the wallpaper used on the homescreen and icon menu. Also all of the icon box shading is gone and the focus "blue" halo is slightly transparent. The menu and pop up dialogs have also been made a very dark slightly transparent blue. The color and transparency changes with the angle you look at the screen from top to bottom.

If you'd like to give it a shot, here's some info on it below....

Home Screen:

Icon Menu:

Lock Screen Shot 1 (Animated):

Lock Screen Shot 2 (Animated):

Download Link (OTA): http://hatax.home.comcast.net/bb/tod...700-custom.jad

Your info will appear on the lock screen, I just blanked it out so you could see the animation better.

Hatax is there a way to make the Today area of the theme disappear when you move the cursor away from it? I think that is the true "Plus" part when one refers to a Today Plus theme rather than a standard Today theme No worries if not, just wondering. I miss that theme from my old 8100 alot!

Need to do some tweaking to the custom version when I get back in town next week and I'll take a look at this.... I'm thinking it could be done through a SVG file, but am not 100% sure as the today screen isn't part of the SVG element.

I'll post back here what I find while tinkering with this.

Well, I've never tried my hand at tweaking a theme myself (not that I'm afraid of it). If it isn't too hard, maybe I can do this myself but here's the old theme I used to run on my Curve 8000:

I got it from Theme4bb a while ago and have LOVED it since. Would it be a big deal to change the home screen to just show upcoming appointments instead of both appointments and messages? This would make the PERFECT theme for me and my new 9700!!

Awesome theme, Hatax! Great job.

I know it was brought up in the past, but just retouching on it. Have you been able to figure out anything as to why the SMS's won't show up on the home screen under "messages" when they come in? Also, calendar events that have been established before changing to your theme don't show...only events that i've added after the theme is active.

Again, great job with the theme.

I'd prefer to see an 'all calendar' version...

Exactly what I was looking for!! Three lines of cal and three lines of messages is great (4 and 2 would have been better, but I'm not complaining).
The only thing...believe or not, I'm too impatient for the animated open and close. Can you make a version with a regular open/close?
It's OK if you don't...I absolutely love your theme anyhow.

Great theme! Someone asked earlier, and I'm still trying to figure out where the weather line at the bottom of the screen comes from??

The other issue I'm having is that nothing is showing up under the calendar section. Am I missing something?

The "weather line" comes from your weather app. You have to configure it (the weather app) to display conditions/temp/whatever as the app name. Look in SETTINGS within your weather app.

The calendar info is displayed from the default calender. Go to OPTIONS / ADVANCED / DEFAULT SERVICES and see which calendar is the "default" ... it's under the "Calendar (CICAL)" setting.

Default F for sound profile...

I hate to be such a complainer, but...
Our local numbers start with a 6, with brings up the sound profile. I hit the green button before I start dialing, but it would be nice if there is a version without F being a shortcut for the sound profile.

Anyway, I still love your theme and probably will never stop using it!

Turn on DIAL FROM HOME... then it ignores all BB shortcuts. Those shortcuts are functions of the OS and NOT of the theme.

GREEN BUTTON / MENU / OPTIONS / GENERAL OPTIONS / DIAL FROM HOME SCREEN: YES.

What weather app do you use to get that display? Thanks!

Hi, basically the Theme ist really great. I just have a problem with the view of the "Active Call" and the "Incoming Call". At both the Text of the "Caller Info" and my own number ist floating together. Maybe it is because it is an german device, but is it possible to give more space between the coller Info, and my own number?

Maybe you can deactivate the caller picture.

Thanx a lot!
