I m using a blackberry pearl model which i bought 3months ago from uk. After i moved back to my country (different plug in) my battery needs recharge every 24 hours even if i don't use my phone at all. This issue appeared from the first day i charged my phone into a non english environment. Initially i thought it was due to the adaptor that converts english plug into european so i bought a new european charger (30 euros). The thing is even after using european charger the problem still exists and now i m thinking to buy a new battery (40 euros more). Before i spend more money is anyone here that can think any reason for this problem? Is it the battery or it's gonna be another waste of money like with the european type of charger?

Which Pearl do you have - i.e. what is the model number?

Recharge every 24 hours isn't really bad for a smartphone, however, you do not want to let the lithium battery get below 20% on a regular basis as it will damage it. The best practice is to keep the dive topped off when near power.

dubdub thanks for the reply. the model that i use is 9105 (and i really love it!). the thing is that as long as i stayed in uk the phone could last in average up to 3,5 days without charging (and i was using it much more than i do now). From the moment i returned home i have to recharge it once per 24 hours (and i use it less). I have no idea why... It's a new phone i bought it 3 months ago.The only difference between uk and my country is the environment temperature (around 30 degrees celcium in my country, 10 more than uk) and the electricity supply system.

Please update you profile to show the model number and not the nickname.

Are you in an area with a strong connection? That could be one issue as it could be searching back and forth between 2G and 3G. Are in an area and roaming on other carriers?
