Default why Twitter for BB don't auto-refresh while in a call?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

my twitter refresh interval is 5min and sometimes im in a call for an hour sometimes conferencing for two hours, and it simply does not refresh in the background for that time. Once i open up the app then everything shows up along with messages.

fb refreshes fine and so does ubertwitter but this one just doesn't wanna do it. has anyone else noticed this?

It uses your internet connection which is not usable when you are on the phone. There is a setting on Twitter 4 Blackberry to refresh in background (when off phone)

If the OP is on 3G or WiFi at the time, the device is capable of voice and data simultaneously. And indeed OP says other data apps send and receive data while phone is in use.

Perhaps blackberry twitter is intended to not refresh while the phone is in use, but I sorta doubt it. Maybe the "failure" to refresh is being noticed while on EDGE? Or maybe try a hard reset and then test.

It's because "your call is important" to them (RIM and carrier) so they want to focus all their energy and resources to making sure you have a quality calling experience.

Ah that's because FB is probably listening in on your conversation. They're a bit shady like that haha.
