Default "All Day" Appointments are screwed up

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks. I am having a problem with Outlook after I sync it with my 8700. Any appointments that I have marked as "All Day" are being scheduled for a 24 hour period beginning at 1:00am. That means if I schedule an all day event for, lets say, April 1, it shows up for April 1 and April 2. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Mike

Is the time zone correct on your device?

That is part of the mystery. If I set it to Central Time, and then sync, it switches to Central America time.

The problem is likely the Time Zone setting in your computer. I had this problem once. Even though the time is correct (because you have manually set it), if you don't tell windows what time zone you are in, it will default to whatever has been set at the factory, and that info gets passed during the sync. Just open up the time and date setting and set the time zone.

Nope, the time zone is set correctly on my PC.

Guys - I have this same bug. I don;t sync with my PC as I have wireless sync via BES and my "All Day" appointments get a reminder the day before! This only happens on my BB, not in Outlook itself. I am running the .194 OS so I have a feeling most others upgraded to Bharti and this is fixed.

This only started happening since I upgraded to the 8700 - I would not think it is a setting. I also live in the Central time zone too. My PC is set properly.

Any other thoughts?

I'm having the same problem.

Not sure why.

I've verified that my PC has the correct time zone and daylight savings settings. I've verified that my BB is pulling the network time and that the timezone is correct.

This only affects my "all day" appointments (or even ones that don't have the all day button checked in Outlook but just run from 12am to 12am). All my other appointments are fine.

Any other ideas?

Angry All-Day Event Sync Issues

I, too, am experiencing this problem; it seems like it only recently developed. One thing I noticed is that while there is an "All-Day Event" field mapped in the Blackberry desktop software for Outlook, there is no corresponding field map for my Blackberry (7100t). Odd since this is actually a check-box option on the handheld's appointment entry screen.

I was using the newest v4.2 desktop software and thought maybe it had caused this issue; however, I went back and checked both v4.0 and v4.1 and neither of those have a device map field for "All-Day Event".

Incidentally, I'm synching via cable since I have a BIS account.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

This is strange - I am able to create All day Events in Outlook. They appear correctly as all day event on the BB and vice versa. The reminders by default (when the event is created in Outlook) get created to sound an alarm 18 hours in advance. So I just change it. If the event is created in BB then even the reminder time is the same as my default setting (5 mins). I sync wirelessly. I have the latest Cingular s/w update running on my BB and I am running Outlook 2003. Not sure what the BES version is. I wonder if this is a problem with some specific combinations of s/w versions of Outlook and BB
