Question Internet,wifi,8100

Please Login to Remove!

Just bought my first bb phone today its a pearl 8100.....been trying to go on the internet with it but its not allowing me so thought i'd try wifi but have no option anywhere in the menu to search for wireless networks.

read on the net that i need to go into manage connection but have no icon saying that.

anyone shed some light on my situation please

1. The 8100 doesn't have wi-fi.
2. You need a blackberry bolt-on from O2 to use the internet.

how comes i have an option in the menu to turn wireless on or off??

Wireless is the mobile network (O2) and not WiFi.
The 8100 does not have WiFi.

lol right now ive got ya....looks like im on the phone tomorrow to find out how much a bolt on is gonna cost me every month now :(:( might be time to change phones already

O2 now have specific blackberry plans (be it contract, simplicity etc) so can't gauge price; usually runs about £5 per month extra.

Yeh, they will swap you in your next month to a Blackberry Simplicity. Just make sure you get a good CS (on the phone) or go into an O2 shop, so they know what you want, and you don't want them "accidently" moving you to a different plan/plan length.
