I have an icon on the top left of my screen that has a 1 and then a circle with an arrow through it. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is, let alone get it off my screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Go into Appworld. Then My World. Find the application that needs updating.

I did all that, and still can't find anything that needs updating. Really, really annoying.

I Had the same problem. But like 'the_g_man' Said, It's from the AppWorld. If you go to your AppWorld then your installed applications under there, somewhere, there will be an update available. Do the update and you should be fine.

My guess is you are receiving an App World update notice for App World itself, as a new version has started hitting devices a few days ago. Check your messages folder to see if there is a message with the App World icon next to it. Click the message and see what happens.

If the message isn't there, then go to BlackBerry - Download BlackBerry App World and manually download the latest App World to see if that helps. If all else fails, do a battery pull.

I have since figured out what the problem was. it did have to do with App World, but not an update per say. I had installed Twitter, then unistalled it. couldn't delete it, so i reinstalled it, and that stupid icon went away. Thank you all for helping a not so tech savy blackberry user! Now if someone can please tell me how to delete apps, that would be fantastic!

you should be able to do that through BBerry Desktop manager.
