Default Add Signature to Emails + add phone Number to existing contact

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my Blackberry 8900 a few days ago and this is my first Blackberry....woohoo. I just switched from a Windows Mobile phone and there are certain features I've grown accustom to.

I'm trying to figure out how to add a signature to my emails. And also, how do you add new phone numbers to an existing contact?

If anyone can please help I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Blackberry Rookie

Assuming you are on BIS, to add a signature, log into your provider and go to blackberry options. You will be able to add your signature.
To add new phone number to a contact, go to you contact list, select you contact, click the blackberry button, select edit, scroll down to the phone number you want to add, add the #, click on the BB button, select save. Done!

True. You cannot do it on your BB on BIS. It was supposed to be available with BIS 2.6 for gmail addresses but it is not yet available.

PC is the option and it should work fine.

I just use the Home 2 or Other fields, than add a note at the bottom. I have contacts that have additional numbers when they use local sim cards when traveling overseas.

Since BB already has a Work 2 and Home 2 fields, I would like to see a Mobile 2 field as well as as Alternate SIM and Alternate SIM 2 fields. But at least there are current fields I can make do with.

If I add it in the notes then I can not call or send SMS directly from there. I will try to use the other fields. Thanks

It is a drawback this point on the BB. It is very useful to have the ability to add more phones and more fields. I use now HOME 2 as you mention but it doesn't "feel" right !!! Thanks

I agree - It would be so much better if BB just had several phone fields and let the user pick the option of how to label the number. Home, work, mobile, other...
