I want to get Safeware insurance but I am not clear on how much it really costs to buy a new Pearl out of contract.

T-Mobile's site says "Suggested Retail: $349.99". Is that what one pays for a new phone or is that just a suggestion?

At a Cingular store it is $399 plus tax.

not only did he... but being the techy that i am.. i took it apart and cleaned/dried all the contacts and the old one still works... so i havent bothered to buy a new one yet...

I had to buy mine at full retail price from T-Mobile. I paid $379.99 plus tax.
