Default I have about had it....

Well I have had this device for several (5) months now. When it works...its great but today it stopped getting e-mail (BIS) unless I turned on WiFi. Then after 5 calls and 2 hours I now get a white screen with an error number 532 of 523 (very small font) and all I can do is acknowledge the reset. It did this over and over, all I wanted to do was read some mail. Some sort of issue with the network (ATT). I now have to go get a new SIM and see if that helps.
Anyone else had this issue? I am very disappointed i this device so far.

Well you first have to find out if it's your phone or ATT, because if it IS ATT then it's not fixable. I bet that's what it is from your description. Maybe time to go with a truly modern carrier? ATT is famous for blowing in a number of locations. Probably why you don't have a 3g phone, right? No 3g for you right?

None of those issues are related.

A new SIM won't fix App Error 523 won't fix no new email.

Have you tried just removing the battery a bit, replacing and rebooting?

I agree. I mean, you can browse and talk at the same time with the old tin cans, right?

Thanks for the replies. I have rebooted twice, once I did it and the other time the device did it on its own...got to love it.
I did go to my local ATT store and replaced the SIM, as soon as that was done and the device booted up the mail came flooding in, as well as the service books that were sent. All seems back to normal.
I have been with ATT for 6 or 7 years, they are not perfect but have always been fair and treated me well and their service has been good.
I did try T-Mobole a long time ago and it was terrible in my area.
Yes this is a EDGE device-not 3g, my iphone was 3g, it used a lot of battery life for things I do not use. I just want to e-mail, text, calendar, contacts, occasional google search and a game of brick breaker when I have a few minutes of downtime.

No carrier out there is "perfect". Glad to hear they were able to help you and the new sim did the trick.

Of course it is! Those mice have all the most modern wheels to run in.

I am in CT also and here in Fairfield County T-Mobile coverage is pretty good and as I do travel into other CT counties, coverage seems to be fine. T-Mobile Technical Support I think is the best around, fantastic customer service. Also I am sure I am paying 1/2 of what I would be paying at AT&T or Verizon for the services I have.
Thanks!!
