Hi all

We are a vodafone service provider here in the UK

We have lots of BB trials, when these trials come back ALL handhelds need killing now this sounds easy by doing one of the following

Kill from BES (May not be possible units may not be active after the trial, No BES available)

Setup password and enter wrong 10 times

7100 ONLY use the wipe function


OK lets say we have 200 units to kill it's easy to see that this is very time consuming

Does anyone know of a better method ie SDK and some erase util.

open desktop mgr, app loader -> next -> advanced -> check both -> next -> device wiped...

Dunno, that's how I usually do mine, but I've never had to do 200 at a time.

I had a look in App Loader after the wizard launches there is a Application Loader Wizard screen the only options being ADD and CANCEL.

The other problem being that as soon as you connect the BB BDM will ask you for redirection to the new device.

For Reference I am using Blackberry Desktop Manager 3.6.3a

After you click app loader, underneith add/delete is next... click that, don't worry about adding anything.

Comes up to the "Completing the Application Loader Wizard" screen, then go to advanced from there.

See if that works.

You probably know this by now, but if the handheld has version 4.0, you can simply choose to "wipe handheld" from the Security menu under Options.

The Java version of programmer.exe (javaloader.exe) is available in the SDK.

I just launch the app manager and enter 10 bad passwords and toss the phone aside. When I turn it on and it says 507, then I know the phone is ready for redeployment.
