Might not be a bad idea. However, the UMA outage thread seems to me to be in a good place (Wifi Hotzone.)

Only issue IMO is that those type of threads quickly spin out of control with tons of folks reporting they are good and/or not having coverage. Probably would need to be heavily monitored by the admins.

It is something to think about... the threads are ok, so-so. They can get out of hand. We've been trying to date the threads, one each day, to help keep some control to it and make them easily reconizeable.

Meanwhile there is an unofficial RIM outage list at Welcome to Rimoutages.com, a subscription-based mail list.

For me, I would check the site before being tied up with my carrier which everyone else will be doing.

As of right now, I see outages being reported all over the site.

The whole pt of the forum is to discuss various issues. Someone could say that are out and I could say I am fine and provide a suggestion there or recommend the proper area.
