Default How does BlackBerry work inside the carrier infrastructure ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks,

I was wondering if someone knows a little more about how BlackBerry works for a mobile carrier ? I´m curious what components are involved.

I understand that on the carriers Home Location Registe/HLR the Blackberry service must be provisioned to get access to the BlackBerry AP. After that the service books are sent to the device, right ?

What kind of information is the carrier providing to the RIM´s NOC? Of course the PIN, Carrier ID, IP address. What else ?

I googled a lot but wasnt able to find anything concrete.

Thanks in advance for any reply!
