Yeah, its the "E-mail set up [IPPP]" book only. The other IPPP books don't need to be touched.

I downloaded GLocal on my 7105t it works really well and pretty fast I have already used it for driving directions. It works much faster in just the regualr map mode opposed to the satilite one. I would definatly put it on the normal mode when driving but satilite is cool to look at

I have it on my 7100i and it works great. I also have TeleNav and I actually like Google Local better because it is free, you can zoom in/out of a map, and the driving directions are just as good.

I have a 7100t and had absolutely no problem installing it, but now that it is installed it doesn't do anything but say "loading...".

I've got unlimited data, and am in the same place I was when I installed it (indicating a strong enough signal?)...

I have a 7100t with T-Mobile, and had no problem with it when I was running 4.0.2x OS. I upgraded to 4.1 about 2 days ago and not i cannot get it to work anymore. I will say "loading" or "routing" but nothing happens. I tried deleting the files that were posted earlier but that did not help.

It works with no problems on my 7100g Cingular service. It just loads slow but it works fine.

Question

That's good news then. But how do I get it working?

Every time I try to access it I get this message 'network unavailable...downloading maps and info depends on a network connection. Do you have a dataplan? How's your reception? This program will retry automatically'.

My browser is working; I can make and receive calls texts and emails - so what am I doing wrong? All help gratefully received. Thanks.

I don't think I did anything special other than download the program from Google. It ran fine on OS 4.0 and it runs fine on OS 4.1. I have a 7105t with phone and unlimited data plan. That's it. I wish I had a more definitive answer for you.

Unhappy oh well

Had another bash today without any luck. Guess it's just not going to happen for me... I'll keep checking back and see if anyone else has come across this problem. Thanks all so far...

Similar problem with 7100g (Cingular). I was able to download and install the Google Local app fine, but it will not run (network connection problem).

Is anyone with the same phone/provider currently getting it to work?!

Default Cingular

go to www.cingular.com/blackberrystart and register for BIS, or call Cingular care and add the WIX APN, and enter the APN under Settings>TCP.

visit www.telenav.com to register to be a beta for TeleNav 4.x for 7100

Thanks drbob,

I contacted Cingular, who confirmed that I already had the WIX APN loaded. But the TCP info fields were not filled in. I did that, but am still getting the same error on Google Local. The app goes into a "loading" mode and shortly thereafter gives a "Network Unavailable" error. Any more ideas? TIA.
