Default 9630 - App Error 205

Please Login to Remove!

oh what a day... this morning i had attempted to update the OS on my new 9630 to 9630 4.7.1.117/4.7.1.61 (d/l'ed from the thread raptor put up). i would say during halfway through the install, the dreaded app error popped up. i spent the better half of the day trying a bunch of ways to fix this via solutions found here, crackberry, blackberrysupport, etc. still no luck.

one last option i had not yet tried was the JLcmdr.

just curious if anybody else had this problem when upgrading the OS.

Default I also had issues, but not as catastrophic

My download of the update in the Desktop Manager failed after 30 minutes of just sitting and I was able to cancel out with no repercussions. I have not attempted since. 9630 on Verizon.

You may need to restore to the previous version of the OS.

Good luck.

P.S.
If all else fails, try this

thanks for the advice.

i was able to get this fixed at last. i did use the BB 101 but before that, i ran the JL_cmdr to reset the device, not wipe. i don't know exactly what happened but the 205 error msg turned into the 507 error msg, indicating that no OS was on the device. perhaps that was the result of the reset.

Error 507 means JL_Commander did it's job and wiped your BlackBerry clean. Now it's time to download the OS for your device onto your pc, install it into Desktop Manager, and then install it onto your BB with DM.
