We are due to get the 8310 at my store in a month (give or take a few days). It really depends when they release them to the stores. For instance the new HTC "tilt" (upgrade to the AT&T 8525) was "released" on the 25th of September but we won't receive it in the store until the 9th of this month.
I'm going for it. I refuse to pay for it or any other cellphone :D but we always have contests when the new PDA's come out that are basically just giving phones away. Contests like if you sell 5 in a month you get one.

Anyone know what these will cost WITHOUT a contract? I'm thinking of buying one out of contract and jumping ship to Tmobile (cheaper rates - bb BIS is $19.99 monthly right?)

Don't know what the 8310 is going to cost but, yes, TMo's BIS is $19.99.

Veeeery nice! Hiiiigh five!
On a serious note - how crazy is the Tmobile blackberry email for $9.99 a month deal? If I didn't use internet often, which I do, I would jump on this in a second.

This is the first time i've ever anticipated the release of a new phone. Who knew that release dates would be so shaky....I can hardly stand to wait for it! Guess the countdown is reset for the end of next week...

You guys will probably hold a 24-hour vigil like we did the day before the 8320 was released. It'll be interesting to see who gets one first. Good luck all!

Do they usually like to release phones at the same time? Because the Tilt is in stores tomorrow and would really love to play with both side by side.

I hope you mean the 8310 rather than the 8300. LOL Cuz the 8300 has been out for a while now. Personally, I love GPS because I am out a lot and am constantly looking for a close bar or place to get sushi. LOL. I have seen a comparison video at pinstack with gps surfing speeds vs. EDGE, and surprisingly it is not that much faster. So as far as wifi for surfing it is not that big of a deal. BUT, if you were going to pay for the H&H service so you can talk voice over your home wireless without using your plan minutes, I could see how this is worth it.
For me PERSONALLY I don't see wifi on a BB as very useful unless you will do voice communications over it. GPS for me, is infinitely more useful ... so I would go with the 8310.

Hello everyone! I picked up an 8320 from TMO not quite two weeks ago and I really do like the phone. However, I find myself not really utilizing the wifi and also have become aware that the TMO signal around my neighborhood is not great. Neighbor has ATT and always has a strong signal. I would definately utilize the gps of the 8310 much more than the wifi of the 8320. If I port my # to ATT and get the 8300 ( since 8310 is not available yet) would I be allowed to switch it out for the 8310 when it comes out...assuming it is within 30 days of activation? Also, do you really believe it will be out in the next 30 days? I need to decide in the next three days as my TMO test drive is only 14 days. Sorry to ramble and thank you in advance.
