both devices are the same except for one with full keyboard and the other one doesn't have a full keyboard. thats what you need to make your decision based on.

Personal choice or not I would go with the Curve. There have been too many complaints of the curves keyboard. I have a friend with a pearl and hates it. When he saw my curve he regretted getting a pearl. He also complained of the curves "sure type" and said it was very awkward to write messages. I would stay away from the pearl. Food for thought.
