what will happen when i upgrade my BB 8100 (Carrier ETISALAT U.A.E)
Version: 4.2.0.67
(latest available Version from Etisl** 4.2.0.79 (yaya we are far east & far behind) )

with an OS Version from any other carrier which is higher than the available from Etisalat?
i.e. 4.5.x.x from xyz

Background for the update is to run a 4GB SDHC Card instead of a 2GB

P.S. will the ETISALAT Welcome screen disappear as well and will be replaced with the one from the choosen carrier??

You can load an 8100 OS from ANY carrier on your 8100.

The welcome screen will never change. Your device will work fine.
