Default My 8100 will NOT upgrade to 4.5

Please Login to Remove!

After several attempts I have given up. I'm a tech savvy guy who just updated my 8100 to the latest 4.2 software available through T-mobile. Never realized you could update the OS of the phone lol. I am having problems updating to the new 4.5. I have 4.5 installed on my computer and the new 4.7 DM from the BB website, and I HAVE deleted the vendor.xml file. MY DM tells me there is no software update available for my phone. I called t-mobile and the tech said that since I have one of the first 8100s available on the market it does not support the 4.5 software yet. As stated above, after several attempts I give up. Please help guys! I really don't have the bones to shell out for a new blackberry just so I can have the new OS. (not eligible for an upgrade for a while)

ok - you downloaded and installed the new dm and the new os (note: the last official os for the pearl 8100 is the 4.5.0.99 from simobil slovenija. running on my pearl)

you search the 'loader.exe' at your computer and take it with rightklick as an shortcut at your desktop.

finally connect your pearl with usb and klick your new shortcut (without dm!).
after connecting you can manually delete languages (when installed a multilanguage version) - so you have more space at your device.

enjoy and have fun!

ouh - but one: 45 minutes are nothing! its better to have a little time to do that...

yeah I tried using just the loader.exe to do it with no success. I will try the instructions found by following the link BigA posted for me and will post success or not when I'm home from work.
