Default Backing up saved website favorites

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, probably a stupid question....but, when I backup my PB using the desktop manager, it doesn't back up the websites that I've bookmarked as favorites. Therefore, they can't be restored to my PB. Is there any app or other way to back them up?....thanks! Bill

I'm surprised. Some questions:

How do you know the browser book marks were not backed up?

When you did the backup, did you select the full backup option, or a custom option?

If you did a restore and found the bookmarks missing, and assumining you did do a full backup, did you also do a full restore?

The PB, unlike the BB phones, do not back up apps or website bookmarks so neither can be restored. Not a big problem for apps cuz they can easily be reinstalled...but q real problem for website that have been bookmarked, especially when u have about 100 websites saved....and yes i do full backups and full restores. BB tech support confirmed that bookmarks can't be backed up/restored on PB.

Ok. Interesting.

I don't have any good ideas. Best work around I can think of is to create a document in Documents To Go and paste the URL for your bookmarks as you create them. That document should get backed up when you do backups. Lousy 'solution' I know. Best I got, however.

Other than new doc, the backup process doesn't do much cuz it doesn't save websites which is the main thing many ppl want to save, and there are hardly any settings on the PB to save....unlike BB phones which have a lot of settings. So, not much need to backup device...anyway thanks for your replies!
