Default 8700g and the Internet

Please Login to Remove!

Since I don't have my bb 8700 yet I couldn't really test this out. I've read and searched the forum but dont have a clear answer.

Can the bb 8700g connect to REAL websites, not that fake WAP garbage?

Thanks in Advanced

Well, first, allow a little more tome for people to read and respond. But to answer your qusetion, yes. As a matter of fact I'm posting this using the HTML site and Not the WAP access site and doing it from my 8700.

Hope this helps.

You don't have to do anything special. Just start up your browser and go...Some websites will take you to their mobile or WAP version by default. But, in general, if you type in 'carmax.com' that's where you will go.

First, please use the search feature. That's why it's there. Topic has been covered extensively.

I usually use the Blackberry Browser, and have gone into the Options>Browser Configuration and set it to Emulate Microsoft IE. Then, check every box below it. It will be as close to the real thing as you can get.

Experienced some minor problem with the default browser. Just couple sites, the default browser coudn't pull up or it takes too long to load. But I have opera mini in the other hand so problems are always solved !!!! A great device for internet, email, and instant messaging!!!!
