Default Seperating email accounts

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I just got my 8700 and I setup my corporate email and decided to also setup my personal email account. What I find odd is that I now have two email message icons, one specifically for my personal account and one for both accounts combined. How can I get an icon for just corporate accounts?

Thanks,
Frank

You can't.
All messages go to the Messages folder.
POP3 accounts/BIS accounts can have their own separate folders.

Anyone find that odd that your corporate email needs to get junked in with the 'others' but the others can be seperated out?

Separate email accounts is a new feature on BIS 2.0 - just a few months old. I can think of no good reason why BES might not be rejigged to provide the same feature, at least in theory. Hasn't happened yet.

Even with POP3/BIS accounts having their own seperate folder, the messages will also be in the main message folder also.

Are these really folders? Are each of the BIS accounts listed when you select View folders? I have been wondering about this for awhile now. I haven't (and won't) upgraded to BIS 2.0 due to the loss of having Folders.

Thanks for your Help.

They are not folders. Just different icons where the messages will sit. And as balibe pointed out, all messages go to the Messages folder.

Is there any way to make my personal email account ONLY synch up when I request it?

The reason I ask is that what I don't like about my current setup is that my personal acct with all its junk mail is in the same place that I get my important work mail.

Anyone have tips on how they try to seperate the two?

Thanks,
Frank

Thanks NJBlackBerry, that's what I thought, just wanted to verify this. Now if RIM would create an Icon for a BES acct Filter we wouldn't have to explain it so much.

Thanks for your Help.

Default BES and BIS

So there isn't a way to seperate the two accounts even using filters? I tried creating a filter with the account i wanted but couldn't figure out how to make a shortcut on the home screen.

Default Message Folder

I've recently upgraded the software on my T-mobile 7100T, and now have the multiple folder option.

I would agree. I'd rather see my corporate email in it's own folder. Hopefully in the next release.

You can't make a shortcut on the home screen, but it is only one more key press. And this raises an obvious question.

Hope this helps.
