I recently bought the blackberry curve 8520 PAYGO

But I didng know you needed to pay £5 a month for the blackberry services to use the 2G internet..

Is there some sort of hack to get around this?

No I don't think there is. It's illegal using the 2G internet service without paying your carrier I think.

im on a rolling pay and go contract that gives me 500mb and i cant get to use it without paying 5 for the blackberry service?

Nope. Gotta have a BB data plan to get BB services. Should have done your homework before you bought.
