found this post on another BB forum. can anyone expand on why the original poster thinks this? Why no the Media Manager? What issues?

Tips:
1) Avoid v4.7, lots of issues reported with that release
2) Whatever version you choose, take the one without Media Manager

I been using DM 4.3 for a long time now. I have had no problems with it...

i think he is refering to the fact that media manager is unstable and will randomly crash. it happened on my first install. i repaired the installation and it been working fine since (i've only used it a few times since then thou)

Confusion. DM 4.7 is OK if you don't deal with Media. If you do need to mess with Media, go to BB dot com and get a separate / standalone copy of Media Sync. Myself, I think most of the bad PR that 4.7 is getting has to do with Vista.

Never had a problem with either.. Depends on many things. (Computer OS, what's inside the computer, what programs he has, etc, etc... Many things can effect how smoothly the Desktop Manager works.)

However, if it isn't broke then don't fix it, do you have a need for 4.7?
