Plus, I could have sworn that a week or so ago there was a link on the Blackberry site for a discounted purchase of the garmin app. 80 bucks instead of 100. It's gone now though. That or I just can't find there the link was in the first place.

At any rate, hoping for a trial soon so I can test out the software before purchasing.

confirmed to work without vznav. apparently though you, at the very least, have to have cell coverage when you turn the program on. no word yet on if it will function if you start w/ coverage but then lose coverage mid trip. folks are testing out now and reports are trickling in. will update if i hear anything more.

Yes, it does. However, to get the voice to work I had to plug in headphones, then unplug them. Even after a battery pull the voice continued to come from the external speaker. Not sure if this is a bug or just something that happened to me.

i find it works pretty well, layout is nice easy to use...does anyone know how much is the real verison is i like it better then vznav and the phone dosent lag like when i had the vznav still in it

i haven't tested at all (at work) but will report back unless someone else gets to it first. i'm hoping the voice instruction thing was just a fluke.

99 bucks for the full version. one time, no update costs. it's a lifetime purchase.

searched for the link and emailed it to me. When i clicked on the link I got this on the screen.

"Sorry, but the 7 day trial of garmin mobile is not supported on this blackberry device. to purchase gamin mobile for your device please visit garmin.com"

the link was pulled. like .76 if you didn't get it quick, you may have to search around elsewhere for it. not sure why they aren't openly offering a trial. it's working fine on my phone.

frank... it does work on verizon... just not all phones. storm is supported.

it's silly that they don't have a trial... obviously it's there... no reason to not offer it. i wouldn't think it will be long before they offer it up. clearly folks aren't going to want to pay that much for something without checking it out first.

One thing that's good about Garmin with their Blackberry software is that they have a pretty lax "return" policy. I'd purchased it for my Curve and (for a reason that now escapes me) I didn't like it. Just called up Garmin, told them the truth, and they refunded my $99.

Life is short. My VZ Navigator is a blast at 10 bucks a month, including traffic. What am I missing without Garmin ?
