Default Device Calendar Losing Entries

Please Login to Remove!

I'm on my 4th Blackberry starting back with a 957; just got the Bold last week. Had an 8300 prior. For some reason, my device calendar is dropping entries between syncs. I have Desktop Manager (4.6) set to do a two-way sync of all scheduled items. The MS Outlook calendar on my desktop is fine, but when I try to sync, I find all non-recurring items prior to October have disappeared off the device. I keep re-loading the full calendar from a recent backup, but it continues to lose the old items. Any suggestions? Is it a bug I'm not aware of?

PS...Address Book sync works as expected.

UPDATE: Every time I do a battery pull, it loses all non-recurring calendar items more than 60 days old. Is there a way the calendar can end up in a different part of memory ("on board memory"?) or some type of volatile memory that is fragile and does not write to the device memory? Or do I potentially have a funky device?

Thanks.

Open your calendar, then use the Menu key to get to Options within the calendar. Scroll down to Keep Appointments and make sure you're not on 60 Days. You can choose either 90 days or Forever for longer duration. Shorter duration is 15 Days or 30 Days.

FURTHER UPDATE: Problem solved. I found the item in the device's calendar options where you can change how long the past calendar items are retained. Sorry to create a thread that I ultimately figured out on my own...but maybe this will solve someone else's problem before it becomes one.

PS...thanks, Rambo. Your solution is the one I found and was describing as you responded. Appreciate the prompt reply.

When you memory gets as low as 1.5 mb you should do a battery pull.. When the BlackBerry runs out of memory it will delete calendar entries. You should check out the sticky thread concerning losing call logs, etc.
