Well, that's always a good thing I Don't know what I'd do without BBM . This build's battery life is AWESOME. I went 30 hours of my usage, and it was at 40%!

On the iphone without data I would have been at -28% lol.

I never had this happen with any of the builds.

Default Crash/Reboot When Making/Receiving Phone Calls

I upgraded my AT&T 8300 to 4.5.0_Rel81 and am having the same problem I had with 4.5.0_Rel75 -- the 8300 will crash and reboot whenever I make or receive a phone call.

Reformatting the media card did not help.

Returning (again) to 4.2.2 Rel 301.

My Rogers 8300 seems to lock up while browsing pictures. It also just locked up just sitting here... Any suggestions? I'm loving this firmware otherwise! I don't wanna give it up!

Try reformating your SD Card, then put pics back & see.

Battery life kinda sucks in all the latest 4.5 builds...Hopefully it gets better as new ones are released.

After loading this version, every time I sync the device with my desktop it tells me there is a more current version of the 4.5 base application...but then does not install one. Anyone else having this issue?

First of all, thanks for the post.
This is the first 4.5 release I have installed. So far, everything is awesome except that I can no longer Lock the device with "Alt+Enter". Did this key combination change or just get removed?

Thanks in advance!

I'm having that issue with an 8800. I always click Cancel.

If you run through the apploader to the end, it will likely not install anything and then it will quit nagging you.

Hi, considering upgrading to this. Currently using 4.2.2.173

Is battery life going to be considerably less than what I'm using right now?

Also I have Chinese input support, will this build take that away during upgrade?

Thanks

Battery life is not affected.

And, yes you will lose the Chinese language input, as the new OS does not include Chinese.
There are workarounds to include that, read here:

cool thanks. the process went well. pretty stable. but, seems they still miss the lil bug in the video media player; sometime the video would not resume to the last play. does anyone share the same experience?

You are reading posts from the probably .01% who might have a problem.

For the most part, the upgrade is quite simple.
