Question Big dilemma - OS 5 vs 6 (Storm9500 vs Bold9780)

Please Login to Remove!

I am a satisfied (with the exception of the browser) user of a Storm with OS 5 but I am thinking of buying a Bold 9780 with OS 6.
I am therefore asking the experts here:
* Is it worth switching devices ?
* Will I see a noticeable difference in terms of functionality/speed/usability ?
* Given the different operating systems, will I be able to restore my Storm data onto the Bold, by using Desktop Manager 6.0 ?
Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you get the new BlackBerry, you will be able to copy your data over using desktop manager.

Whether to get the new BlackBerry is really something you have decide. You can read the reviews, read what people are saying here on the forum about the 9780 and OS 6 (both positive and negative), but still so much is subjective.

My opinion for what it's worth is if you are 90% happy with the BlackBerry you have now and are able to do the things you need to do, save your money and wait until your doubts are gone and you know it's time to get the latest and greatest.

Thanks, but I read that the OS 6 browser is way faster and comparable to the iPhone's Safari.

Well, yeah, the word is it is fast, etc. Like I say, if you have to scratch that itch, do it. If you can stand it a little longer, the smart thing to do is save your money.
