Yes same here too. I can download documents from within mail to my memory card and open them using docs to go.

In mail / options you have to enable the option "enable html mail" before html mail will be displayed.

What's this about hotmail?

Anyone seeing this on T-Mobile UK yet? And does it require something better than 4.2.2 in the (8300) BB?

Well after a little playing around I discovered that if I changed my APN settings to mobile.o2.co.uk (which is the o2 mobile web address - and not included in the O2 BB package) the images download fine.

So a) Why doesnt this image traffic come through BIS and/or the wap.o2.co.uk APN.

BadWolf - COuld you check what APN you are using please.

Thanks

I have just come across a post eleswhere stating that vodafone UK has BIS 2.5 now as well so perhaps all UK carriers now have it.

You will need OS 4.5 to get the HTML emails and full functions of the BIS 2.5 upgrade.

BIS 2.5 upgrade has reached Romania also! At least on Orange RO, HTML email is working. Don't know about Vodafone RO.

Yeah I know they will charge thats why its not gonna be an option. Reading another forum it seems some UK Vodafone people are having the same symptoms.

YES, this is a big day for Romania, thanks Orange RO amd RIM it simply works perfectly ( bye BBSmart ), BIS 2.5 rocks, and finally this is what I was waiting so long from RIM, the ability to download attachments from my mails, put it on the SDcard and edit if I want it, this is so more simple.

I also tested it on the BB Vodafone RO from my wife, and it works also perfectly.

This is a day, that I will remember

And resend your Service Books!

Now all I have to do is wait for the BES upgrade...

I'm on Vodafone Uk and cant get the images to display even after trying the 'get images option'. Tried resending service books again to no avail. Can only assume its a Vodafone problem.

2 Questions:

I'm in South Africa (we generally follow Europe), and i'm running 4.5.0.42.

1. Does the BIS page look different, how can i check what version is running?
2. In messages>options>email settings, i dont have the option to switch to html email ... does this come with the service books after the network has upgraded to 2.5?

(1) No. I don't know how else you can check except by trying (2).

(2) Yes. You will of course have to request the Service Books from your BIS portal, they don't arrive automatically.

(3) And why aren't you on Vodacom - much better network IMHO!!
