Today I upgraded to a VZW BB Tour 9630...and my sync trouble started!

I've tried everything to sync my BB Tour 9630 with my Outlook 2007 (w/ Vista OS) contacts, calendar, tasks, etc. Everything BUT the contacts will sync. I keep getting an error code 0x80040fb3 message, and the whole sync process quits. The message tells me to review the documentation, but the sync log certainly doesn't help me -- it may help others? Help!

I only have 1762 out of 2290 Contacts synced to the BB Tour...it always stops at record 1762. Prior to today's change to a Tour, I was syncing with a VZW World Edition with no problem.

I am able to sync everything else besides Contacts only by manually reconfiguring sync to do calendar, tasks, etc. -- and omitting the address book.

hmm, dont know if this is related or not, but the lady at the verizon store tried to transfer everything from my old berry to my new one, the sms messages worked fine, but the contacts kept getting stuck at some point, i think she said around contact 50. I told her to not worry about it and just synced with pocketmac when i got home which worked perfectly. However it is strange that she couldnt move my contacts directly from my old phone. Im also upgrading from the 8830.

Thanks, but before I posted my message, I tried that. I went through all my contacts that had photos attached and deleted the photos. I also deleted approx. 20 contacts that had email addresses, or funky characters, in the name fields. Still...even with deleting approx. 20, it still gets stuck at record 1762 -- whatever that is. Help?

This articles suggests checking characters in the company field also.
