BG.....so are you going back to the 8700? Or will you stay with the 8100? Would you say that the SureType is an improvement over the 7130c?

Nice to see they will have skins for the 8100, and not sure if anyone noticed but BB has their own Bluetooth headset coming.

I am a gadget head and i love the slim look of the 8100.. im so tempted to order it when it comes out but i use my bb for data and email only and do more typing then talking. so i keep trying to convince myself to wait for the qwerty version..lol someone hold me down and lock my keyboard up please

i think the point was to make a bberry that wasnt the typical QWERTY format. i'd be suprised to see one honestly. but who knows, i dont work for RIM.

and in response to the above comment about suretype. i think it's a big improvement. i've only used the 7130e, and i found myself getting easily frustrated... perhaps i just wasnt as familiar with it. but the 8100s seems to be much smoother. i think it's definately better than t9.

What is really hot, and I so called it, look at the 2 metal connections on back of pearl by battery release button, desktop charger no more cable

Why does this get you excited? I had a 7700 for over 2 years and was ecstatic when I could give up relying on the bulky desktop charger for the convenience of the mini usb connection.

Mind you the device would appear to support both scenarios.

Site seems to indicate that the BB Pearl won't support any type of streaming audio/video. All of the content must first be downloaded.
