Not that there were any surprises as to this, but it's "officially" out of the bag:

Oh yeah, http://www.blackberrypearl.com/ is live too. ;)

Just wait a bit young grasshoppa.

Just to note as well, they released the press release for Rogers as well. Expected sales in October. It doesn't appear they are pushing the '8100' notation or any sort of post-model lettering either (thank God - always thought that was rather stupid and confusing for most people).

Also to note, from the video and images, it appears that the traditional Zen theme has been updated to put the icons on the left side of the screen.

I really like how the video on the Beauty page has downtempo/liquid funk drum & bass playing. Really cool.

he isn't under an NDA, and most likely those whom he received information from never signed them either; although they were likely told any information they had was confidential, but not bound by any sort of agreement/contract to keep it confidential, short of their jobs. like i said before, BG has a way with the ladies - panties fly off and mouths open (in that order, of course).

Default Pearl Accessories Already!!!

What I also find interesting about the Pearl dot com site is shows accessories already available for the Pearl. Desktop chargers, skins, etc. Very nice, not like buying the 8700 and then having to wait for accessories either by RIM or a third party. That is well thought out by RIM having them available up front.

I agree with the drum & bass; completely targets the right market their after!

> I just LOVE this design. However I was hoping for HOTSWAP capability, even a ... lets say 'magneting' door for closure or 2 stage hardplastic door cover (as in slide down then slightly up on the side of the unit) would've been incredible.

> @d_fisher; GREAT LINKS I've been digging for weeks for those!

> the lack of a 2MP camera is very lacking, but I have a feeling the high end model fashioned for the 8700 model alternative with full qwerty keyboard will have the 2/3MP camera with flash and more camera options like what we see in SE phones (besides just zoom). Furtherore I'd like to see more music playback options (menu, sound equalizer etc).

> great first entry into the multimedia device realm!

And if ever they come out this additionals on Qwerty BBs I hope they will keep the power button separate from hang-up button.

Now is the trackwheel and navigation joystick support each other's .. In othere words I hope navigation joystick on front will work same as track wheel too.. ????
