Default Where's the speakerphone?

The specs & user manual refer to the speakerphone, but I can't quite spot it on the pics. Can anyone shed some light?

Give more specifics. On the 8700c the speaker for the speakerphone is on the back of the device with the mic located underneath the ALT key.

Neat... I hope the volume is as loud at it is on the 7100.

Volume sucks on the 8100, speaker sounds like crap, and for playing mp3s forget about it, use a headset. Also the vibrate is about 1/3 the strength of the 8700, big downgrade in my opinion

Hey BG, good info as always. But, I'm starting to detect a - I'm not so sure I'm fond of this - tone out of many of your posts lately. Question - on a scale of 1-10 what would you rate this device (10 being high)? How about the 7130c?
Very curious.
Thx

Not having an 8700, and still going with the 7100, how would you compare the vibrate from the 7100 to the 8100? I've found the vibrate on the 7100 weak since the day I bought it. I routinely miss calls if I'm walking around on the streets outside, and end up walking around with the device in my hand if I'm expecting an important call. If 7100=8100 in terms of vibration, I could get over it, since I've dealt with it for so long anyway.

As for the MP3's, I'd likely stick with my iPod anyway, the 30GB suits my ADD much better.

I think this is the best RIM device to date. Again it is not for everyone, if you can deal with SureType its great, I can't. The speaker is horrible not gonna lie, the vibrate is horrible not gonna lie. The OS is a little shady sometimes, and slows down all of sudden getting stuck on the camera app, and video player. All in all in the best BlackBerry, features and everything. I just wish they made a real speaker, and a vibrate to match the 8700.

BG, could you compare it to the 7100 series? I have had a 7100 and a 7105 and tried the 8700 for a few days and found a couple of deal breakers - found that the buttons were too small, I couldn't operate it easily with one hand and it was a little too big to slide into my pocket. I can deal with the occasional SureType frustration to have larger buttons but I am wondering how the other features compare. Thanks in advance.
