Ok, I'll say it so a mod doen't have to get in trouble.

Have you read this thread? It is called "Blackberry 8100 Series Live Shots" There are all kinds of picutures on page one of this thread and a clearer one on page 4.

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Blackberry but I just don't understand why everyone is so excited about this device. The added features have been in other cell phones for years.

Sure I'll proabably get one but I just don't seem to be as excited as everyone else. I guess the biggest thing that is appealing to me is that I understand it to have a very small form factor - I hope anyway.

ummm, relax bud...I know there are pics on page one and four of this thread. I want to see if this guy truly has an 8100 like he claims. I mean, someone else besides BoyGenius supposedly has access to an 8100, I want to see if it's true.

This is how it's going to look in October:

Cingular: grey 8700c and 7130c
T-Mobile: all black 8700 and 8100, plus the 7100's of yesteryear going like hotcakes.

I'll give it to T-Mo, they're "bringing sexy back."

Uh...the 8700g is blue. Put on your glasses. I thought it was black, too at first. But I looked at one in the store (I have the 8700c) and the g is blue.

What are the odds that the Sep 18th date will hold? I've been waiting for the extended battery for the 8700g since May. We may have to wait longer than we would like.

A camera on a BB is certainly not desirable for me. Many businesses discourage (& a few disallow) the use of camera phone & hence it is a bad option for the corporate consumer. For an individual it's a good option provided that the solid performance of a BB is not compromised.

Yeah! I too hope they get a QWERTY keypad.

Not entirely true. You can attach a contact from the address book, so the process of the BES transferring attachments is already in place with BES 4.0.

Presumably you'll at least be able to save camera pictures to the Pictures application where you can send them to other BlackBerry users via BB Messenger, although it would be pretty silly to not be able to email them. The fact that the device OS is 4.2 is encouraging.

Default 8100 keypad

Hey, has anyone else noticed that in the internal pics from the fcc site, it seems that the individual keys are split in half?
I don't know if this is different from the current 7100 keypad or not?
Does anyone know?
If it is, could that mean you can select a specific letter by pressing one side of the key?

Maybe a dumb question, but just wondering if anyone knows....

Thanks!

I've gone from 7100 to 8700 and now I thought I'd use the 7130e for awhile. I am not sure if I can go back to Suretype - it is so hard once you get used to Qwerty.
